This Lost Vegas slot game has two modes: you can either play as survivors or as the zombies.

The twist, of course, is that this is set in a apocalyptic Last Vegas, and the high paying symbols reflect that.

If you choose to play as survivors, you get your classic male lead, a mafia like guy, a cocktail waitress, stripper and a tourist with gold clubs.

Play as the Zombies, and you’ve got Elvis, a showgirl, a pair of eloping honeymooners, a crazy nurse and another tourist.

Where else but in Vegas would the undead be so flamboyant?

Personally, we love the theme that we are seeing on this video. It’s fun, but still slightly chilling, and has a great musical atmosphere.

Watch out for the bonus games in this Lost Vegas slot

There are two instant cash feature in the base game, which you seem to be able to trigger regardless of which mode you are on in this Microgaming mobile slot.

The Zombie Fist of Cash (because Zombies always go to their grave with cash in their hands? Only in Las Vegas we guess) or and the blackout bonus, where zombie symbols reveal cash.

What we suspect will happen here is that these two features will distract you during the base game, as you swap and change between Zombie and survivor mode.

Because by the sounds of it, the free spins are going to be as hard to find as the Pope drinking champagne from a stripper’s boot.

Why it matters which mode you play in

It’s not just the theme that changes slightly. The real difference in the two modes is clearly in the Lost Vegas free spin bonus.

The reason we think these free spins are going to be a b*tch to catch is because regardless of which you choose, the amount you can spin is basically ‘unlimited’.

In survivor mode, every time a high card (low paying) symbol shows up, you get instant cash, and that symbols disappear from the reels. Once all the low paying symbols have been removed, the free spins end.

In Zombie mode, you get stacked zombie symbols, and if one fills a whole reel, it gets ‘infected’; that reel now has stacked wilds. The free spins round only ends once all five reels are infected.

What does that mean for us?

In theory, it means you could end up playing over 50 spins, with wins getting bigger and bigger the more high paying symbols or stacked wilds you get.

In practise, we suspect these free spin round will last anything between 10 to 20 spins. Though the whole ‘getting bigger and bigger wins the longer the free spins round play’ is probably true.

After all, less low paying symbols means more high paying ones. And more stacked wilds with stacked symbols means more wins over 243 ways to win reels.

Though unlike games where choosing a side, like in Playtech’s Innocence of Temptation slot, you pick how the game plays, we suspect you’ll be able to get the same kind of wins which mode you choose.

Should we be excited for the Lost Vegas mobile slot?

Though Microgaming haven’t confirmed it, we suspect Lost Vegas will be a mobile slot, because so far this year, every single one of their releases, good or bad, have been on all devices.

Hopefully nothing will be lost in translation once this becomes an Android or iPhone / iPad slot.

But overall, yeah, we are excited. This is an original online Microgaming slot game, with unique features that make it hard to resist.
