You might remember that a little while back, around the 28th of February to be exact, we predicted that the Emoji Planet slot by NetEnt would suck. Hard.

So when NetEntertainment released the video showcasing the game coming out August 23rd, we were… curious.

How bad could this be?

Well, it turns out… not bad?

That’s right folks. This is NetEnt’s first foray in what is fast becoming the most popular forms of online slot machine out there: the grid slot.

Turns out, it has nothing to do with the Emoji movie

The main and primary reason why we hated the idea of this theme, is because we hated the movie.

That’s right, did you know an Emoji film is due out in August 2017?

And the license for the emoticons is the same that NetEnt is using in their Emoji Planet slot coming out the same month.

It wasn’t a big leap to assume both were related.

And whilst technically they are, NetEnt have strayed far away from what looks to be a mediocre kids film, and turned the theme around.

So, now we’ve admitted we were wrong, and that this new Emoji Planet slot machine might be salvageable, let’s have a look at the features shall we?

The good news is that Emoji Planet seems to have learnt from it’s past mistakes, and here you only need to find 5 symbols touching to get a win.

So already we’re seeing slight improvements on a model where NetEnt have not been particularly successful in the past.

This is where we are hopeful for this Emoji Planet slot game.

Because if there is one thing we like about all ways pays slot machines, is when you get lots and lots of action on screen.

The pros and cons of this Emoji Planet mobile slot

Until it finally comes out on August 23rd 2017, it’s hard to say for sure how this game can play.

But that doesn’t stop us from taking a wild shot in the dark guess.

This is one of the biggest pros in our book. Because you get bonus features by collecting symbols, and you can get a whole chain reaction of wins using the avalanche feature…
