If you are a fan of Microgaming slots, chances are you’ve probably played on The Dark Knight Rises online slot, a sequel to their very popular The Dark Knight progressive slot that was released a year ago. Now, 6 months after, they are releasing the sequel of the original as a triquel on mobile.
Still with us?
The Dark Knight Rises mobile slot will only be available on Android tablets and phones for now unfortunately, and it will have to be downloaded at a Microgaming only casino.
Update: You can now read our review of this Android slot or head over to GoWild mobile casino and enjoy it for yourself on mobile.
Coming Soon to a Very Small Screen Near You
March the 5th is the date on everyone’s lips, though don’t be surprised if it’s not exact. We’ve had a couple of people confirm March the 5th and a couple of others saying definitely March, but not sure when in March exactly.
The 5th would make sense. We wrote yesterday that Microgaming will be releasing two new mobile slots on the 4th and they generally like to dump them all at once. Like laundry day, cheaper to integrate in one big load. So chances are you won’t have long to wait.
If you’ve read this far into the article and you are reading this on an iPad or iPhone… bravo. You must really love this slot game and hope we have more details to reveal on when it might come out on iOS devices. So here is the little we were able to find out on the subject.
Will Batman ever rescue iPads and iPhones?
Maybe.
Damn it! All that reading and that’s all we got?
Yes, but it’s a strong definitely maybe. The guys at Microgaming refuse to confirm anything, but, and we quote they ‘endeavour to create the best and biggest casino games to enjoy on all mobile devices‘. Which is code for… definitely maybe? We did speak to one of the guys at a Microgaming casino who said that it was ‘in the pipeline’ to be made iOS friendly.
Considering it took a whole year to get Thunderstruck II available to both devices and that to this day Immortal Romance is still only available on Android, we wouldn’t place any kind of bets here. But you know, let’s not get angry or anything, after all Microgaming are still by far the most prolific mobile slots creator around. It just takes them a while to get the good games out…
Never Played The Dark Knight Rises; What is it Like?
What? Really? Oh you’re not a fan of Microgaming… ok… well… ok….
Overlooking that point so we can continue to be friends, The Dark Knight Rises didn’t get the love it deserved online as it was always compared to its one year older sibling, The Dark Knight. Which is a progressive jackpot slot. Which the Dark Knight Rises isn’t.
That’s really the biggest complaint about this video slot. You have to be a fan of dark and broody slots (we mostly like more fun and sparkly slot ourselves), but dark and broody can work. With 243 ways to win, it’s so chock full of features it has to use Cat Woman’s whip to hold them all together on the reels. Not really, but you get the visual. Random wilds, extended wilds, free spins, increasing multipliers, tumbling reels, extra wild blasts…!
Yes, this game is all mostly about the wilds and, yes, it only appeals to video slot players who are a little more advanced in their playing ways, but overall, it’s a slot machine that we’ve enjoyed in the past and we look forward to seeing on all mobile phones and tablets in the future. Please.
If you want to try The Dark Knight Rises online slot for yourself, Go Wild is a good place to start. They will undoubtedly be the first to have it as an Android slot and they have a generous welcome offer of 100% up to 200 + 50 free spins on Thunderstruck II.
The legend ends… but the slot continues.
