Before we start breaking down this Treasure Island slot, we should say that we didn’t have bad luck whilst playing it. Quite the contrary in fact. We got a couple of decent 30x and 40x our bet wins, and were, if not massively up, then not down on our budget.
But that’s part of the problem we had.
It’s hard to get excited when you get a stacked wild, and then 5 extra ‘pirate attack’ wilds on screen, and only win… 20 times our bet? Really?
The animations and excitement you first get as you discover these slot bonus features, from a click me feature that pays barely 5x times your bet, to a constant array of wilds, slowly dies down as you realise that short of a screen full of wilds, getting 100 times your bet or more is short of impossible.
The Treasure Island slot free spins
This game is redeemed slightly when you get to the free spins… but they don’t get here often, and even then it’s no guarantee.
Reason is, whilst the game promises you can get extra wilds, super wilds and locking barrel wilds – it also very clearly states that you’ll only be given one of these three features.
Which, if it’s the super wilds, can be good, but again, it mostly feels like you’re spinning for the sake of spinning.

Treasure Island Bonus Features
Stacked Wilds: The treasure chest is wild and replaces all other symbols except bonus scatter and barrel wild. They also come stacked as an added extra.
Barrel Wilds and Pirate Attacks: There is a second wild on these reels, and that's the TNT barrel. On it's own, it replaces all other symbols, but if you get two or more on the reels you trigger the pirate attack bonus.
Here, the shop will shoot 2 or 3 cannonballs on screen creating extra wild symbols on the reel. If the cannonball shoots down a TNT wild (which is usual), you get 2 extra wilds, instead of one.
Bonus Scatter Pick: If you find three compass symbols on screen, you get to pick one of the three for a mystery prize of:
