How To Play Oonga Boonga Mobile Slot
NOTE: Sheriff Gaming is no more folks! You can’t play this slot anywhere, so read Pixies of the Forest or Gonzo’s Quest slot review for some equally fun cascading reels.
Get some good WiFi, your tablet if possible and press play… Here is one pretty high variance slot from Sheriff Gaming.
It’s not often a slot is improved by going mobile. In this case we have to say it has. We played Oonga Boonga video slot online when it first came out, and despite it’s passing resemblance to Gonzo’s Quest we were left feeling unimpressed. This was mostly due to the politically incorrect tribe leader making monkey noises at the screen. Thank-fully, this little man is silent in the mobile version, allowing you to enjoy beautifully dropping stone carving symbols as they cascade on your screen.
Beware however, as with all Sheriff mobile slots, you’ll have to have really good WiFi to enjoy this slot. It takes it’s time downloading, and the sounds usually come in about 10 to 20 seconds after your first spin, but once it gets spinning, it really looks very beautiful. With exploding stones breaking into a cloud of dust and an increasing multiplier on every win, you get mini free spins with every win. In look and feel, this is a copy of Rooks Revenge, which in turn is a copy of Gonzo’s Quest. So you’ll have all the same features you will have come to expect from this type of slot – tumbling reels and all.
However, you might end up getting frustrated with Oonga Boonga mobile slot if you expect the same mechanics, as this game plays very differently from both of the mobile slots we’ve just mentioned. This is mostly because you won’t get as high up in the multiplier chain as you’ve come to expect, rarely getting more than one win on the tumbling reels. Equally, when the free spins do come, you might be disappointed when the increased multiplier doesn’t give you more than 10x your bet.
This is because Oonga Boonga is a high risk (high volatility) video slot. You might feel like you will need to pull teeth to get any decent wins, and you might be right at that. But when you do get them, you’ll be amazed at some of the wins… We’ve gotten down to our last bet and suddenly gotten a win of 20x to 30x our bet to bring us back up out of trouble. All prizes are multiplied by the line bet, so we recommend that you try and get as high on the number of coins per line as possible that fits within your budget (The max is five coins a line). It’s the only way we found to try and make our budget last longer waiting for that big win.

Oonga Boonga Bonus Features
Wild Symbol: The question mark symbol is the wild symbol and only shows up on reels 2, 3 and 4. It substitutes for all other symbols except the scatter.
Cascading Reels: When there are any winning combinations, the symbols explode in a shower of dust and the symbols 'cascade' down the reels, getting replaced by new symbols. This is 'free' in that you don't pay to get the new symbols, and with the new symbols comes a new chance to get a new win.
With every win the multiplier increases, moving from x1 to x2, x3 and x5. When a win is no longer possible or you get to x5, the multiplier and reels reset back to x1 and you get to spin again. A feature we love, but with Oonga Boonga, hard to get past the x2 mark.
Scatters and Free Spins: Get three Gold mask scatter symbols and you'll activate the free spin rounds. These are evasive and hard to hit, but only because the multipliers during these are huge. You start your wins at x3 moving up to x6, x9 and then the all wonderful x15. It's during these free spins that you have a chance of winning that 395k in cash maximum win
