How To Play Money Bee Mobile Slot
Is it a Money Bee? Or a cockroach? To be honest, the jury is still out on this 5 reel, 5 paylines mobile slot.
We have a confession. We were honestly debating giving this Money Bee mobile slot 1 star. Mostly because come high wind, weather, or low internet connection, Money Bee will do it’s damndest to play on all devices know to us. So it’s playable and deserved at least a star.
So how did it end up being 2 stars? Well, probably best to start with, how did we get such a bad first impression to begin with?
For one, it’s not the prettiest of mobile slots. Bright and colourful it might be, but the graphics look like some college students did a ‘3D graphics 101 – the basics’ and had bugs as a category. Not impressive. The cockroach you see on the right of the screen is actually a lady bug. In fact the glazed look on all the characters eyes give them a certain ‘dead’ expression that is more than a little disconcerting. This is slightly improved when you play this game in portrait on the smaller mobile screen, but not by much.
Two, the sounds are fairly boring, and at time even a little annoying. Mechanic rather than melodic, the turning of these reels becoming grating very quickly.
Add to this that we could quickly see this was a fairly low volatility slot. We get getting little wins here and there, but were it not for the gamble feature, would seldom even get our bet back or even more than 3 or 4 times our bet. And then we looked at the return to player rate of this mobile game and saw the incredibly low 94.2% and it all made sense. A this point we have practically written off Money Bee mobile slot.
But then it hit. We got the free spins. And we walked out with 100x our bet. And we stared at the screen confused and bemused. This is not how this kind of slot is meant to behave! What topsy turvy bug world was this? So we kept playing and waited for free spins to come again. This time we got a far more conservative 20x our bet. But we got them again and that time got 80x our bet.
So what’s the point? This is not low volatility. This is low to medium. If you look at the maximum win for this slot, it’s actually 1000x your bet. No wonder the pay outs during the base game are so low, it’s biding it’s time to give the odd player a win that will make all the difference.
Probably still not tempting enough in terms of entertainment to bring us back often, but if that bad weather hits and we need something reliable to play… that memory of that 200x win might bring us back to this tiny dead eye bug world for a few spins.

Money Bee Bonus Features
Wild: The rosy cheeked bee is the wild symbol, replacing all symbols but scatter. It's also the symbols that pays out the most, with that 1000x win.
Scatter and Free Spins: iGaming2Go might call these 'featured game', but a free spin is a free spin, no matter what you try and call it. Get 3 or more of the musical notes from left to right on the reels and you'll get 10 free spins. If the lady bug symbol appears during the free spins (which he does at least once, sometimes as often as 3 or 4 times) your wins from the free games will be added with itself (so doubled). Surprisingly hard hitting.
Gamble Feature: A simple 'pick a colour' gamble feature, guess the colour of the card correctly and you'll double any wins on the game. Effective tool to try and get those little base game wins above your starting bet.
