Nordic Heroes Bonus Features
Wild Symbol: The symbol with 'wild' on it will replace all other symbols on the reels.
Mystery Multiplier: After any base game win you can trigger a multiplier. How much depends on the level of your character.
- Level 1-5: Random multiplier of 2x to 20x.
- Level 6: Random multipliers of 2x to 25x.
- Level 7-8: Random multiplier of 2x to 30x.
How to Level Up: This is the important part, and not immediately obvious when you first load up the slot.
Basically, every time you enter the free spins bonus, regardless of how much you win, you win 750XP. On your first entry, you'll immediately level up to level 2.
Then you'll need 2 entries to get to level 3, 3 more entries to get to level 4 etc...
Not easily done, as the free spins take a while to get.
Free Spins Battle Bonus: When you get the battle bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5, you trigger the free spins.
These are unlimited. How long you last depends on how quickly you defeat the 3 opponents on the reels.
How does it work? Basically after every spin, you attack a creature, and it attacks you. Destroy 3 creatures, the round ends, or die before you destroy the creatures, and the round ends.
It's all done at random, though theres not doubt that as you unlock the second character (the male) and unlock more weapons (by leveling up) your attacks get stronger and you tend to last longer.
At first, expect to play about 10 free spins, we've hit 20 or 30 spins further along the game though.
Bright side you do get extra features within the free spins themselves.
First you play in the forest of fortune, then on level 6, you can choose to play on the sea of glory.
Which should you pick?
- Forest of Fortune: You get a wild on every spin, either normal, or with a 2x or 4x multiplier.
- Sea of Glory: This one is awesome. On your first spin you get a wild reel on any reel. The you get a wild reel on reel 1, 2 or 3. Then you get reel 5 totally wild and then one more wild reel anywhere else.
If you defeat all three bosses, in whichever scenery, you win extra bonus spins.
Thora or Ragnar? Technically not a feature, but you do unlock Ragnar (the second character) very early on, when you only get to level 3. So which should you pick?
We've had better luck with the guy, but mostly because he tends to have bigger hits, so defeats the bosses a little faster, making it easier to trigger
That said, the elven princess does block characters attacks better, so the spins can last longer, but you rarely defeat all three characters.
Still, once you unlock them all, why not mix and match and see who brings you better luck?
