Net Entertainment love giving us previews of their upcoming mobile video slots, and we love going through them with a fine comb and making swift opinions with only a little information.
After all, aren’t we already doubtful of the Sparks slot ability to entertain us? And that one won’t be out till the 23rd of July.
However, this one is a little different. This one shows promise if only because it’s unlike anything else than NetEnt have in their slots portfolio.
Though on closer look, the Dazzle Me slot isn’t different, so much as a combination of pre-loved features.
So NetEnt. Are you going to dazzle us this on 24th of August 2015?
The Dazzle Me video slot preview
A short 3 minute video, below you’ll find the gameplay of the online version of this game.
Why? Because you can see more than in the one showing the mobile slot version, and with NetEnt you can be rest assured that the mobile phone slot will be picture perfect – but you can find the YouTube video here if you’re curious.
So, lots to talk about, not enough column space.
Let’s start with the obvious shall we?
- 10 Free spins when you register
- 4 Deposit Bonuses giving you 350 in extra cash.
- 100 free spins after your 1st deposit
76 paylines and a weird ass layout
We think the NetEnt folks are getting a little bored over in their Swedish castles.
For as long as we’ve known them they’ve created 5×3 reel slot games.
Sometimes they dabbled with 5×4 reels, but that’s not exactly “out there”. Though they’ve been really pushing those recently, with the likes of the so-so Neon Staxx and the fun Dracula slot.
This though, this is a 3x3x4x4x5 layout.
It feels like something from a WMS slot machine. Which is no bad thing, as Williams Interactive creates some of our favourites.
But Dazzle Me will be the first 76 paylines NetEnt slot, though that’s only relevant if the wins are here for the taking.
The classic slot theme is pretty underwhelming
We weren’t bowled over by the theme, if we’re being honest.
It’s like a simplified version of Twin Spin and Starburst in one, with similar sounds from the latter when you get a win or wild.
Feels like we’ve been here before, and done far better.
Entire reels turn wild randomly
Now this is more interesting. At any point during the game any of the reels can turn wild – as you can see by the use of the diamond symbol.
And it’s not just part of the reel, the whole reel.
On the video we don’t see more than 2 reels turn completely wild at a time, but we know from along the casino grapevine, that potentially all 5 reels can turn wild at any point.
Now that will certainly be a dazzling sight.
The Dazzle Me slot free spins and linked reels
Well, well, well, if it isn’t our friend the Twin Spin slot in disguise…
Get a huge £1,000 / €$700 in bonus money over your first 4 deposits at LeoVegas
Once you’ve triggered the free spins – in the video you see that 4 scatter symbols trigger 12 free spins – you’ll get an additional bonus feature.
You might remember it as the feature that made Twin Spin so popular – the ability to get two, three, four or five reels all mirroring each other with the exact same symbols.
Should we get excited about this mobile slot?
We are kinda torn.
On one hand the theme is dreadfully boring. About the only dazzling you’ll get whilst playing is if the sun shines on your phone or tablet and momentarily blinds you.
On the other hand, there is huge potential for big wins here.
Sure, the linked reels only show up during the free spins, but meanwhile you have those random wild reels that could pop up at any time to bring extra flavour during the base game.
What a skeptic might be tempted to say
The video doesn’t actually show really big wins per say – there’s a couple of 20x and 30x your bet, but nothing jaw dropping.
That could be because they are trying to keep the big wins under-wraps for now.
Or, the cynic might say, it could be because the linked reels only link either as reels 1-2 or reels 3-4. So 5 and six, the really big reels of symbols where you can get the 5 of a kind wins, are left all alone.
That said, there’s always those wild reels… right?
- Jack & The Beanstalk
- Jack Hammer
- Gonzo’s Quest
We suspect it will be a hit
We know we are making fun of the very average theme.
And being a little too cynical based on not very much information.
But seeing as we were no more impressed with the theme of the Stickers mobile slot when we first saw it, then gave it five stars once we understood the pure joy of it, we believe Dazzle Me Touch will fall into the same category.
There is something about simple themes with big win features that just fits beautifully on phones and tablet slots.
So yes, we’ve decided to be optimistic. NetEnt continue to defy expectation and create different games month to month, making it exciting to try new slots on mobile.
Why shouldn’t we give them the benefit of the doubt?
Where you can play this Dazzle Me slot
Every NetEnt casino, from the UK to Canada to Australia will release this game promptly on the 24th of August.
However, if you want to try the mobile phone version one week before anyone else, then there’s only really one choice; Leo Vegas casino. They will get this game one week before on the 17th.
If you can’t be bothered to wait that long… we can’t blame you.
Instead why not play one of our favourites the new NetEnt slot Spinata Grande?
Remind yourself why this casino slot software provider is always worth getting excited about.
