Cluster Pays with Expanding Reels: When 5 or more symbols touch horizontally or vertically you get a win. On a win, the grid will increase from a 5x5 grid to 7x7 to an 11x11 grid. The wins are awarded once the grid has stopped expanding.

If a winning grid is formed with that cube, the X will take on a number equivalent to the number of cubes in the winning cluster.
