Anyone who has been reading Lucky Mobile Slots for a while will know that we are big fans of the game software studio Play’n GO.
They’ve created some of our favourite machines of the last year; unexpected games like Sweet Alchemy and volatile slots like Imperial Opera.
And now we get Cats and Cash. A generic cat themed slot game with 15 paylines and no free spins bonuses.
What now Play’n GO? What have you done??
Cats and Cash slot is a wheel of fortune game
Now, we are not saying that if a game has no free spin bonuses we won’t play.
But if that’s the case, it better have lots of something else to make up for the fact that you don’t get that little break for your wallet every now and then.
Some, like Red Tiger Games, like to just put so many other bonuses features you forget that there are no free spins.
Others go a different way and give you mini-games within a slot machine. Like the three wheel of fortunes at the top of the Elk Hong Kong Tower slot. Or the wheel of fortunes in the Wheel of Fortune Ultra 5 Reel slot.
You start to see a pattern after a while when you’ve played and written hundreds of mobile slot game reviews.
What is this Play’n GO slot all about?
Cats & Cash is a 5-reel video slot game with 15 lines and 5 coins bet per line, giving you a minimum bet of 0.15 up to an impressive 75.
In many ways, this is very old school. You don’t have fixed paylines, but can choose to activate anything from 1 to all 15 of the bet lines.
You have a scatter that acts as a scatter should: it pays whenever it shows up, no need for paylines.
Try Videoslots casino with 11 free spins plus up to €$200 in bonus money and extra on top on your first deposit
You have a wild that acts as all wilds should: it replaces all other symbols except bonus and scatter, and doubles a win.
And then you have two bonus symbols giving you two types of click-me games: one is a wheel of fortune, the other is an instant cash prize gift.
So the animal slot theme is going to be unique, right?
Euhm…. kinda?
Off the top of our heads, we can’t think of a single game show host/cat slot game. That is unique for sure.
And the characters seem to be well thought out and fun enough. You’ve got your typical cheesy game show host, the lovely feline co-host presenting the Wheel of Fortune and different contenders on the reels.
But lets be honest: this isn’t actually that unique. Since Kitty Glitter by IGT became one of the most famous slots in Vegas history, everyone has done pretty cat slots.
Don’t believe us? You’ve got Copy Cats by NetEnt, Pretty Kitty by Aristocrats, OMG Kitten by Williams, and Not Enough Kittens by Thunderkick.
And we can’t say we blame them. Just look at our logo. Cat’s rule. They are cute, full of character, and charming.
But unique, this is not.
So will we be playing on Cats & Cash on 5th of July?
We’ve recently just finished writing slot reviews for slot games with so many bonus features.
Anchorman by Bally had 5 bonus features, and that’s not counting the mini-features in the base game.
Even NetEnt’s Jumanji has 4 free spin bonuses and board game to play away from the 5 reels, whilst Tut’s Twister may only have one feature, but it’s complicated by how many symbols you have to collect.
We gave many of these reviews great ratings. But as we finished the 10th slot game review with 5×5 reels, collapsing wins, and dancing symbols, we wondered: what happened to old-fashioned spin and win machines?

We could do with a little more old-fashioned fun
This is what this Cats & Cash mobile slot game seems to promise come the 5th of July 2018.
It doesn’t promise to be their most volatile game in the world, but you can still win over 1,000 times your bet (more than on 90% of the Red Tiger slot games).
It doesn’t promise a particularly unique theme, but it will have plenty of charm will all those cash made kitties littering 5x 3 reels.
And sure, it only has two bonus features, but it has a wild that doubles all win and a high RTP of 96.07%.
This is for people who, despite loving big bonus games, end up playing slots like Microgaming’s Thunderstruck or NetEnt’s Twin Spin at the end of the night to relax with a few uncomplicated old-fashion spins.
Which Play’n GO casino will host these kitties?
All of them. No one dares skip over any Play’n GO slot games nowadays as they have a loyal fan base (us included).
Who is the best Play’n GO casino though?
That depends on how much you love their games. For example, if you just like to try a few but want to make sure you have plenty of other choices, Videoslots casino is the one. It’s got more games than we have left footed socks.
On the other hand, if you like a casino that likes to put their Play’n GO slots front and centre, then Vera and John has to be our favourite.
They often do promotions around the games, plenty of slot tournaments, and quickly add all new video slots as they come out.
Plus, a generous first deposit welcome offer helps to put them on the top of our list.
